About Us

Effective Office Services (EOS) began in 2001 as a one-person operation, created by owner Cheryl Almstrom.  In time, Cheryl’s husband Donald joined EOS as technical and communications support.  He then transitioned into lead of technical operations behind the scenes; when further technical expertise was required, he reached out to PC Development Group, in Windsor, CT.

In late 2006, EOS took the first step towards offering additional services beyond the scope of basic bookkeeping and customer service in pursuit of becoming a total, “all-in-one” service business, capable of providing total business administrative support in virtually all office-related categories.  Cheryl brought on her first sub-contractor, another successful virtual assistant with varied skills and expertise, to be part of the team.  This laid the groundwork for today’s evolved structure.

EOS is a successful and vibrant business with Heather, full-time Operations Manager Stacey Dalpe, Staff Accountant Angela Nummy and our Office Manager Jenna Sarosi.  EOS offers services ranging from customer service, calendar/scheduling management, bookkeeping, documentation, PowerPoint presentations and more.  We pride ourselves on being a full-service administrative business, for all businesses, no matter how small or where located.

January 1st of 2019, Cheryl, on the left, took a step and  handed the reins over to Heather Olen, on the right, who was overjoyed to purchase the business, and continue with the passion to help support and grow small businesses.

Heather’s goals for the future of EOS are to continue to find new and innovative ways to support businesses and all their administrative needs, create and simulate an atmosphere of having their own on-site office staff, handling every aspect of their operations, without the added costs of office space, office equipment, training or the owner’s professional time.

Having three full-time and several part-time people with varied expertise available will allow EOS to offer businesses a total virtual office.  Heather knows about running a business alone – the personal and financial costs – and the time it takes to manage it all.  She understands the needs of the small business owner and has made it her personal mission to find ways to fill those needs, in a cost-effective and efficient model.
